About Razor®

Razor® Garnet Abrasives are mined and processed from natural hard rock garnet deposits; formed by the convergence of the Yangtze craton with the Sino-Korean craton.

The iron-alumina-rich mines from which Razor® Garnet are formed under high pressure in excess of 2.8 GPa and temperature exceeding over 890 ℃ is almandine type with visual dark red colour. The hard rock ore in Rizhao deposits are known for its natural hardness, durability and abrasive characteristics. The garnet deposits are all rock almandine variety of high mineral purity with a hardness of 7.5 and S.G 4.0. The raw garnet rocks are then crushed into sharp angled, chunky fragments ideally suited for aggressive blasting.

Our newest and biggest garnet processing facility and warehouse is equipped with a fully computerized process control system and advanced automated production control process.

The highly automated production processing plant has a 4 times of crushing, 6 times of washing supported by 2 water recycling systems, 3 times magnetic separation and 4 times screening; this ensures the highest quality standards. Razor® Garnet Abrasive meets the most stringent industrial and military requirements. Razor Garnet processing plant has an annual output of 150,000 tons with scope to increase to 600,000 tons in the near future.

Typical Applications

Razor® Garnet can be used in different applications:

    • Shipyards, petrochemical industry, building industry, non-ferrous surfaces

    • Fine grade garnet are injected into a stream of high velocity water to cut marbles, granite, high strength steel, aerospace & automotive glass
